1. Who operates Family Dinner Plans

Family Dinner Plans is operated by Thomas M Brown. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Family Dinner Plans iOS application.

Questions may be sent to appstoresupportwithasmile@icloud.com.

2. What we collect

Nothing. Family Dinner Plans has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The developer cannot see your meals, plans, grocery lists, photos, or anything else you put in the app.

3. Where your data lives

  • Your meals, weekly plans, grocery lists, and photos are stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account (Apple CloudKit), so they sync across your own devices.
  • If you invite family members, the data is shared with only the people you invite, through Apple's iCloud sharing. You can stop sharing at any time from Settings in the app.
  • Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

4. On-device features

  • Recipe scanning (reading a photo of a recipe) happens entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Photos you scan are not uploaded anywhere by us.
  • Meal suggestions use Apple Intelligence models that run entirely on your device. Your meal library and plan are not sent to any server for this feature.

5. Permissions the app asks for

  • Calendar: only if you choose to add planned meals to a calendar. Events are created in the calendar you pick; nothing is read beyond what is needed to avoid duplicate events.
  • Camera / Photo library: only when you photograph a recipe or attach a meal photo. Images stay in the app's data (your iCloud).

6. Children

The app has no ads, no external links, no in-app purchases, and no data collection, and is suitable for all ages.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
